Image The OBX Marathon, presented by the Outer Banks Visitors Bureau, The Gateway Bank Half Marathon, and the Kelly Hospitality Group Fun Run offer miles of scenic and historic coastal beauty along North Carolina’s barrier islands. This 2nd Annual event will be an event to remember.  This year promises a better than ever event.  Current unseasonably warm temperatures look toward an amazing event.

 

The varied scenic terrain provides an outstanding venue for the 2007 USATF North Carolina Association Marathon Championship. Runners from through out the world will be participating. Some of the world's finest distance runners will be in attendance. If the athletes don't inspire you to attend, then the community outpour should. This event is fully community sponsored. The residents of the Outer Banks show folks from throughout the world why it is so special to live here. The hospitality is truly 'Southern' with local supporters throughout the course. And to make this event even more special, the proceeds benefit the Outer Banks Relief Foundation. All this makes for an outstanding event not to be missed.
